Fort Hood kicked off Phantom Warrior Week, a week-long celebration of service, with a long overdue homecoming ceremony and a bit of closure.
Nearly 700 Vietnam veterans and 500 active-duty Fort Hood Soldiers were side-by-side
during the Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony on Sadowski Field May 21, 2012.
About 2,000 friends, Families and community members welcomed them home.

và là Ngày Cựu Chiến Binh Hoa Kỳ.

Fort Myer is home of the Old Guard (3rd US Infantry Regiment) which has gotten the name since the time
this unit had been assigned the responsibility of protecting President George Washington and his family.
Nowadays the mission of the Old Guard is to organize military ceremonies for the government,
parades, presidential inaugurations. national funeral ceremonies...
The Old Guard has the responsibility to guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 24/7
in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
Colonel Duong Nguyen, a Vietnamese-American officer,
was Commander of the US Army Health Clinic Andrew Rader, stationed at Fort Myer.
On 06-11-1999, he was invited to lay a wreath before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
